With over 30 years’ experience of delivering numerous projects and innovative programs as well as research, consultancy, and teaching in construction, Steven’s specialized knowledge and publications include the application of digital ways of working, innovation, collaborative working, and digital transformation in construction. Dr Yeomans has supported several industrial expert groups working on digital transformation and is MTC’s representative expert on BSI committees: CB/005 Digitalization of the Built Environment Strategy, and B/555 Committee for Construction design, modelling and data exchange. Steven was also a steering group member responsible for the production of PAS 14191:2020 Built environment – Operation of interconnected construction data dictionaries (which has significant links to the proposal).  Before joining MTC in July 2023, Steven was promoted to Head of Research in 2021, at the Building Research Establishment (BRE) where he was responsible for the business innovation and research programme and the overall outputs of the Construction Innovation Hub (part of £80m+ IUK funding). Before this, Steven was Head of Digital at BRE with responsibility for their digital construction programme. From 2010 to 2019, Steven was Centre Research Manager and Deputy Director of the Centre for Innovation and Collaborative Construction Engineering (a £15m EPSRC funded Doctoral Centre) at Loughborough University, as well as a lecturer in digital construction.
