For nearly 20 years I have been working in Sustainability for the transport sector. I currently work on the £9b Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) rail construction project, where we are looking to leave a low carbon legacy. Previous experience includes working on the original hydrogen and hybrid bus projects at TfL and implementing what is believed to be the first ISO 50001 certified EMS in the UK at Northern Rail. I also led the creation and delivery of the company wide sustainability strategy (including net zero goals) at both Virgin Trains and Avanti West Coast. Throughout my career, I have delivered numerous carbon workshops spanning all management levels and enjoy pushing innovation to leave a low carbon legacy.
